Vladivostok scientists auctioning rights for shares of inshore snow crab opilio capture quotas

Vladivostok-based fishery research institute TINRO-Centre has conducted an auction for shares of inshore quotas of snow crab opilio in the Primorye subarea (to the couth of Zolotoy Cape), reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

More specifically, the rights on making agreements on fixing shares of inshore capture quotas of snow crab opilio in the Primorye subarea of the Sea of Japan has become the subject of the auction. The agreements in question should be signed between the fishing firms targeting snow crab opilio in the waters to the south of the Zolotoy Cape until 31 December 2008 and the scientific organizations.

All in all, the scientists have put up for auction 4 lots with the quota shares of 25%. The starting price per each lot has been set at RUR8,942,500 with the auction step of RUR447,125. Only two out of 12 applicants (namely OOO Akvaresurs-DV and OOO Primorskaya Rybolovnaya Korporatsia) have been admitted for auction.

Akvaresurs-DV has become the auction's winner with all the four lots purchased by the company at the final price of RUR37,156,000 per lot.
