Value of Icelandic catch January-November 2010
Total value 123 billion ISK
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to nearly ISK 123 billion in January-November 2010, compared with nearly ISK 107 billion in the first eleven months of 2009. Total value increased therefore by 15.3% between years, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Statistics Iceland.
Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 86.7 billion; thereof cod ISK 41.3 billion, haddock 14.3 billion, redfish 10.9 billion and saith 7.9 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 25.1 billion and flatfish catches for 8.6 billion.
