Value of Icelandic catch January-December 2010
Total value 123 billion ISK
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to ISK 131.3 billion over the year 2010, compared with ISK 115.5 billion in 2009, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Statistics Iceland. Total value increased therefore by 13.7% between years.
Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 93.5 billion; thereof cod ISK 44.6 billion, haddock 15.2 billion, redfish 12 billion and saith 8.5 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 26 billion and flatfish catches for 9.2 billion.
