Third meeting of Russian-Moroccan Fisheries Commission closed in Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg hosted the third session of the Russian-Moroccan Mixed Fisheries Commission, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to http://www.fishcom.ru/.

The sides have exchanged the information about realizing the articles of the Agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Morocco on cooperation in the sphere of marine fisheries dated 7 September 2006. They have analyzed the results of scientific cooperation and agreed the rules and conditions of operations of the Russian fishing vessels in the Atlantic waters of Morocco. Besides, they have worked out a plan of implementation of the Agreement for the year 2009.

The Russian delegation was headed by Secretary of State Deputy Head of Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency, while the Moroccan side was led by General Secretary of Marine Fisheries Department of Morocco's Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries M.Tarmidi.
