Strong growth in value of Norwegian Salmon exports to EU in February 2010

Exports of Norwegian Salmon to the EU totalled NOK 1.3 billion in February, up by 27% compared to the same month last year, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ with reference to NSEC.

France is the biggest importer of Norwegian Salmon in the EU, with a total market value of NOK 273 million. Poland is the next biggest export market, with a value of NOK 240 million. Much of the Norwegian Salmon exported to Poland is further processed before being re-exported, primarily to other EU countries.
