Salmon slicer sold straight from stand at Boston Seafood show
A very successful three days for Marel at the International Boston Seafood Show, with highlights including the sale straight from the stand of the Geba SC 250 multi-angle salmon slicer which was on display and is now being shipped to its new owner in Chicago, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Marel.
Focused on the theme of "We know how", other attractions at Marel Booth 865 included a 7,000lb Townsend RevoPortioner low-pressure former, an I-Cut 10 PortionCutter high-speed portioning machine, the new-generation ProLine grader, a Marel packing station, and Innova production management software.
The sale confirmed the accuracy of Marel Seattle general sales manager Denny Smith's first-day observation: "If the visitors to our booth continue in the same numbers for the next couple of the days, then the future looks good." And so it proved.
Marel was represented at the exhibition by a team of sales and service personnel from the recently established Marel Seattle, formerly Carnitech Seattle. They were joined by additional Marel personnel from Iceland, Mexico, Denmark and Panama.
North America's largest seafood exhibition, the International Boston Seafood Show/Seafood Processing America conference together attract some 17,000 visitors from over 130 countries worldwide, who gather to view products from almost 900 exhibitors filling 1,700 stands.
