Russian vets strengthening control of products from Spain, Chile

Due to discovery of forbidden and harmful substances in fish and non-finfish products coming to the Russian Federation Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has strengthened control of products imported from fish processing plants of Spain and Chile, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/ ) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, according to the Service's Directive FS-AS - 4/4902 dated 20 May 2010, the following plants are subject to strengthened veterinary control:

-Spain - No. ES-12.14952/PO CE (bacteria of the colibacillus group in hoki fillet);

-Chile - No. 08336 (disparity of organoleptic properties of coho salmon);

-Chile - No.10160 (excessive volume of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms in trout).
