Russian vets released list of approved Falkland exporters

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has released a list of Falkland fish processing plants and vessels approved for export to the Russian Federation, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, the list includes two plants Sil (No.1014) and NEW POLAR (No. 1030) owned by Nova Seafish Limited.

The list has been published in the Service's directive No. FS-NV-4/5526 dated 9 June 2009.

According to the above directive, after 15 June 2009 seafood importation from the Falkland Islands shall be carried out from approved plants only. The products shipped from non-approved companies of the Falkland Islands after 15 June 2009 are not allowed to be imported to the territory of the Russian Federation.
