As per early April 2009 seafood importation from Bangladesh to Russia has remained suspended and its resumption is subject to compliance with the current regulations of seafood shipments only from the fish processing plants approved by Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.

Rosselkhoznadzor says it may allow resumption of seafood shipments from Bangladesh only after inspection and signing Memorandum with food safety guarantees.
