Russian vets introducing temporary restrictions for seafood import from Vietnamese processor

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has introduced temporary restrictions for seafood shipments from a Vietnamese processor, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/  with the reference to the Service.

More specifically, under the Service's order No.FS-GK-4/13952 dated 10 November 2010, Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced temporary restrictions for seafood shipments from Vietnamese plant No.DL36 as of 15 November 2010 due to discovery during monitoring tests, of forbidden and harmful ingredients (Listeria monocytogenes) in fish products coming from the plant.

In the event of products shipped before 15th of November 2010 the procedure of products clearance shall be performed in accordance with the existing rules. Regional offices of Rosselkhoznadzor shall take samples from each product lot to conduct laboratory tests for forbidden and harmful components according to the directive of Rosselkhoznadzor No.FS-NV-2/9959 dated 14 September 2009.
