Russian vets introducing new rules for seafood import from Ecuador

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced a new regulation for seafood shipments from Ecuador, reports http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, according to the Service's directive No. FS-NV-4/6686, aquatic biological resources and products made from them shipped from Ecuador to the Russian Federation after 15 July 2009 shall be accompanied by a new veterinary certificate for food finfish, other aquatic products and ready-to-eat products made from them exported from Ecuador to Russia.

In case the above mentioned products are accompanied by the export certificate of the old model such products shall neither be cleared for import to Russia nor shipped to the territory of the Russian Federation.
