Russian vets imposing provisional restrictions on a number of foreign factories

As of the 1st of January 2008 the Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed temporary restrictions on a number of foreign fish plants, a spokesman of the organization told http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (www.fishnet.ru ).

The measures have resulted from the recent inspection of the above plants to check them for compliance with Russian standards for food safety and quality of seafood imported into Russia.

More specifically the restrictions will apply to the Argentinean plant ЕСС N2 3166, to the Vietnamese plants DL 19, DL 272 and DL347, to the Chinese plants 2100/02005, 2100/02062, 2100/02118, 2100/02172, 2100/02221, 2100/02323, 2100/02385, 3300/02033, 3500/02030, 3700/02523, 3700/02789, 3700/02801, 4400/02183, 4400/02185, 4600/02028, to the Norwegian plants R141, M-667-3 and to the US plants CFN 3025921, CFN 3028288, CFN 3025971, CFN 3025941и CFN 30213647.
