Russian vets implement temporary restrictions of seafood supply from Ecuadorian plant to Russian Far East
Primorye office of Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has implemented temporary restrictions of supplies of fish and non-fish products of an Ecuadorian plants on the territory of Primorye province in the Russian Far East, reports http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with the reference to a spokesman of the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor.
According to the Russian vets, the products of this plant do not comply with the sanitary and veterinary norms of the Russian Federation.
Based on the results of food imports' monitoring and inspections the Russian vets revealed substances forbidden and harmful for human health and, more specifically, contamination by mesophilic aerobic and elective anaerobic microorganisms in the products coming from the Ecuadorian plant.
Earlier similar restrictions were made concerning the supplies of fish and non-fish products from seven Chinese processing plants (due to contamination by bacteria of the colibacillus group) and one plant from Thailand (due to high content of heavy metals in their products).
