Russian vets circulated valid list of approved foreign plants for export to RF
Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has circulated the valid list of foreign seafood producers approved and rejected for export to the Russian Federation, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to the service.
More specifically, as per 31 October 2008, importation of seafood into Russia is allowed from all fish processing plants of Australia, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Canada, the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Sweden and Japan.
Along with the above, the service has allowed seafood shipments from:
- all UK-based plants except for 3,
- all Danish plants except for 3,
- all Indian plants except for 4,
- all Spanish plants except for 1,
- all Chinese plants except for 61,
- all South Korean plants except for 1,
- all Latvian plants except for 28,
- all Lithuanian plants except for 14,
- all Mauritanian plants except for 3,
- all Norwegian pelagic plants except for 18,
- all New Zealand plants except for 1,
- all US plants except for 1,
- all Taiwanese plants except for 5,
- all Turkish plants except for 1,
- all Finnish plants except for 1,
- all Estonian plants except for 21.
Besides, the Russian vets have correspondingly approved or rejected the following plants:
- approved 116 and rejected 116 plants in Argentina,
- approved 34 and rejected 4 plants in Vietnam,
- approved 41 and rejected 41 plants in Iceland,
- approved 27 and rejected 27 plants in Kazakhstan,
- approved 18 salmon and trout farms and rejected 2 farms in Norway,
- approved 7 and rejected 7 plants in Peru,
- approved 49 and rejected 3 plants in Thailand,
- approved 12 and rejected 12 plants in Uruguay,
- approved 32 and rejected 32 plants in Chile.
Rosselkhoznadzor has also prohibited seafood shipments from all companies in Armenia and Brazil.
