Russian vets cancelling temporary restrictions for seafood importation from Canadian plants

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has cancelled temporary restrictions for seafood importation from Canadian plants, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ / (https://www.fishnet.ru/ ) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, under the Service's directive the Russian vets have cancelled restrictions for seafood importation from the plants Mersey Venture (No. 3128) and M.V. Northern Eagle (No. 3247) as of 10 December 2010.

The restrictions on importation from the above mentioned plants were implemented on 15 October 2010 due to discovery of excessive volume of mercury in products coming from the plants.
