Taking into account the guarantees of New Zealand Food Safety Authority on elimination of violations of the Russian veterinary and hygiene requirements discovered in the course of the recent inspection, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has approved one more New Zealand seafood plant for export to the Russian Federation, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, the Russian vets have introduced the plant No. PH1 Talley's Group Limited into the list of New Zealand fish processing companies approved for export to the Russian Federation.

Along with the above, in compliance with the memo on seafood shipments from Norway to Russia dated 16 January 2009 and taking into account the guarantees of the Norwegian Food Safety Authority the Russian vets have also approved three more Norwegian plants for export of their seafood products (except for salmon and trout) to Russia. They are:

  1. M 47 Leinefisk AS;
  2. SF 34 Atlantic Longline AS;
  3. SF 56 Fjellmoy AS.
