Russian vets allowed seafood importation from approved Vietnamese plants
Vietnamese processors approved by the Russian veterinary bodies have been allowed to export seafood to Russia as the nation's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has lifted restrictions for seafood importation from Vietnam which were introduced on 20 December 2008, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.
The list of approved producers includes 30 companies, including 18 plants allowed to supply frozen finfish, shellfish, mollusks and surimi mince and 12 plants permitted to bring fried seafood to Russia.
