November 28, 2008 16:10

The Government's Commission on fishery industry development has decided not to auction 10-year shares of capelin quotas, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to Murman.

The decision has been welcomed by the fishermen because cancellation of the capelin auctions eliminates extra burden for the companies, raises their efficiency and encourages expansion of the range of affordable fish for the Russian population.
