Russian fishermen rising fish catches in World Ocean

The Russian fishermen have returned to the World Ocean where their catches have been gradually rising, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

While the nation's total harvest since January 2010 rose by 7.3% and reached 3.5 million metric tons, in the foreign zones and in the World Ocean the catch rise was bigger, namely 11.5%.

In particular, in foreign zones the Russian fishermen harvested 522,100 tonnes of fish, 76,600 tonnes up on last year. In the convention areas and the international waters of the World Ocean the harvest slightly declined by 6300 tonnes to 159,300 tonnes.

According to Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency, active operations in the World Ocean will let the Russian fishermen raise catches by 2 million tonnes per year.
