Russia urging Japan to create single seafood sales data base

At a recent press-conference of INTERFAX agency Russia's Minister of Agriculture Alexey Gordeyev has urged his Japanese colleagues to establish unified data base for seafood sales, fishing vessels and companies and to harmonize documents proving legal origin of fish products as it has already been practiced in Russian-Norwegian relations.

The above statement has become the minister's reply to issues on strengthening fishery control in the Russian Far East.
