Results of Russian salmon season 2008 still need further update
Though the salmon season 2008 in the Russian Far East was closed long time ago, the fishery results have still remained non-finalized, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to fishery sources in Vladivostok.
According to company reports, the inshore salmon harvest amounted to 232,200 tonnes, which could be broken into the following areas and species:

Meanwhile, according to fishery media reports, the total harvest of salmons (both offshore and inshore) amounted to 272,000 tonnes of which 252,000 tonnes were harvested in the inshore waters and 19,800 tonnes caught in the offshore waters by the fleet, including 11,600 tonnes by the Russian fleet and 8200 tonnes by the Japanese fleet.
