Results of catch quota auctions recently conducted in Moscow
On 28 April 2007 European Asian Exchange conducted two auctions (closed and open) for sale of catch quotas for inshore fishery and offshore fishery in the Russian EEZ and the share of quotas actually sold was fairly small with the bulk of the lots remaining on the shelf.
Closed auction
The closed auction covered catch quotas of aquatic biological resources which are newly introduced for inshore fishery. Sole traders and legal entities were allowed to participate in the auction subject to their registration on the territory of the inshore province.
The results of the closed auction for sale of inshore quotas 2007 are given as below:
- total number of registered participants - 16;
- number of winners - 11;
- total proceeds from sale of quota lots - RUR1,131,240.
