February 18, 2010 10:03

The research vessel Arni Fridriksson has been in the capelin grounds off East and South-East Iceland in the thope of finding further capelin runs that might justify an increase in the current quota (90,000 tons for Icelandic vessels), reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Iceland Seafood International.

According to a spokesman for the Icelandic Marine Research Institute, nothing has been found so far but the research expedition will be continued.
