Murmansk Trawl Fleet purchasing one more vessel

Shareholders of OAO Murmansk Trawl Fleet (plc) have approved purchase of one more vessel, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the company.

The deal will cost the company more than RUR1.1 million. The vessel will be sold by OOO Strelets (ltd). According to the protocol of the general meeting of the shareholders, the payment will be made before the end of 2009.

Murmansk Trawl Fleet was established on 19 March 1920. MTF was turned into a public limited company on 13 May 1996. In the first quarter of 2009 the company's net profit according to the Russian accounting standards amounted to RUR235,159,000 and the total proceeds amounted to RUR1.236 billion.
