Multi-Annual National Control Plan for Norway 2011-2014

Norway has prepared its first single integrated Multi-Annual National Control Plan. This plan contains general information on the structure and organisation of the systems of feed and food control, and of animal health and animal welfare control in Norway, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

The objectives of the Multi-Annual National Control Plan for Norway are:

  •  To verify that Norway enforces feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules effectively.
  •  To provide information about the competent national authority, the organisation and management of official controls, contingency plans and mutual assistance, the audit of competent authorities, measures to ensure compliance with the operational criteria of regulation (EC) No 882/2004 and the review of and adjustments to the national control plans.
  •  To establish a solid basis for controls carried out by the EFTA Surveillance Authority.
