TOP30 Russian importers of seafood in January-March 2012 by net weight
In Q1 2012 top30 of Russian importers of seafood (in volume terms) showed some important changes. More specifically, former outsiders pushed some leaders from top5, reports www.megafishnet.com.
In particular, Ludmila Company improved its ranking from 18 in Q1 2011 to 3 in Q1 2012. Besides, top30 of the first quarter of the current year 2012 saw newcomers such as Izola Ltd importing for Saint Petersburg-based Ostrov Ltd. In Q1 2011 the company took only 126 place and in 2012 it ascended to 5 position.
Newcomers for top30 of Q1 2012 were Agama Impex, Akvarius, Izola, Meridian-Trading, Murmansky Rybokombinat and Trade House of Kaliningrad Fish Canning Combine (Torgovyi Dom Kaliningradskogo Rybokonservnogo Kombinata).
At the same time, the following big Russian companies left the list of leading importers in Q1 2012: Rybpromexport, Gulfstream, Albatros Seafood Production and APK Slavyansky-2000. In particular, ranking of Gulfstream declined from 25 in the first three months of 2011 to 33 in the same period of 2012.
