Russian consumer prices for seafood showed positive dynamics in 2011
According to Russia's State Statistics Service (Rosstat), in 2011 consumer prices for seafood were showing positive dynamics, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ with reference to head of Analytical Centre of Russia's Information Agency for Fisheries Mr. Timur Mitupov.
More specifically, in December 2011 the consumer prices rose by 0.7% and the total rise for 12 months of 2011 amounted to 10.3%. The latter figure led seafood to the first place in the rating of food products in terms of growth of their consumer prices, while last year seafood products took the first place from the bottom.
In December 2011 salted herring appreciated by 2.6% and frozen fish by 1.2%. At the same time, salmon caviar depreciated by 1%.
As compared to December 2010 the price structure of minimum necessary food products in December last year increased from 3.7% to 4.4%.
