Moscow’s salmonids market balancing prices against demand
As per mid-January the companies trading in Atlantic salmon in the Russian Capital are setting prices looking back with caution at the actual demand for their wares, reports Megafishnet.com.
Back in last December the failure to sell planned volumes brought the prices down and set them stable for the first half of January for both Chilean and Faroe salmon.
There is very little supply of large trout. Nothing from Karelia, and quite a few of Chilean and Turkish at warehouses.
There are some offers of silver salmon, but the price is to be higher than RUB 650-700.
Price range ex-Moscow cold storage as of January, 13 2021
