Latvian canned fish received gold awards at Russia's Prodexpo 2007

The bulk of the Latvian exhibitors at the international food show Prodexpo in Moscow is traditionally contributed by fish processors.

At Prodexpo 2007 three firms out of five producers of canned fish and other fish products have won the organizers' appreciation for their fish cans.

The main award has been given to AO Brivais vilnis for its canned sprats in jelly and sprats in spicy jelly. "Cod liver in Murmansk-way" from Randa has also won the gold award, just like sprats in oil (chili) and sprats in berry sauce from Kolumbija Ltd.

Besides, at the recent exhibition the Latvian stand has been acknowledged as the best decorated one.

Prodexpo

Prodexpo food show has been conducted in Moscow for the 14th year. The exhibition hall of 42,000 square meters normally hosts more than 2200 companies from 61 countries. The largest expositions have been built for Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Hungary and Argentina. Participation of Asian countries such as China, India, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. has also been growing.
