Working Meeting between Julia Shvabauskene and Alexander Piskun, Deputy Director of the Main State Inspection on Seed-Breeding, Quarantine and Plant Protection of the Republic of Belarus
The meeting was initiated by the Belarusian party. At the beginning of the meeting Julia Schvabauskene marked the importance of joint actions against unfair participants of the external economic activities, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor.
Taking into account the fact that Belarus did not join Russian special economic measures, it is important to establish a system tracking controlled and quarantine products along the entire way. In this context Alexander Piskun marked the importance of the e-certification system, laboratory testing and consignment tracking system, developed by the Rosselkhoznadzor. He pointed out that the Main State Inspection on Seed-Breeding, Quarantine and Plant Protection of the Republic of Belarus does not allow issuing phytosanitary certificates for sanctioned products to be imported to the Russian Federation.
The number of attempts to illegally import such products under the guise of commodities which are beyond the control of the State veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance increased. Belarusian and Russian competent authorities pay special attention to the products not typical of the exporting country. The Main State Inspection on Seed-Breeding, Quarantine and Plant Protection of the Republic of Belarus checks authenticity of the phytosanitary certificates accompanying sanctioned products. 29 out 250 certificates issued by the Jordan National quarantine and plant protection service turned out to be falsified. 5800 phytosanitary certificates have been checked from the beginning of the current year and 305 were recognized as falsified. At present plant products from 45 countries are exported to Russia through the Belarusian territory, marked Alexander Piskun.
