Russian fishery company to build shipyard in cooperation with Chinese partner
Mag-Sea International Co., LTD from Magadan, Russia, is planning to build a shipyard in Vladivostok-led Primorye in cooperation with the Chinese biggest shipbuilding company DSIC from Dalian, reports www.megafishnet.com.
Mag-Sea’s CEO Mikhail Kotov says that now they are looking for a landsite for the new yard. Primorye’s government is going to support the project and offer tax privileges for the parties to avoid extra expenses on the project’s first stage.
The company is building a modern crabber in China, the ship to be handed over to the Russian fishermen in July 2019. Her "turnkey" construction will cost the Russian customer ca.15 million USD, which is two times cheaper as compared to her construction inside Russia.
Dalian-based DSIC shipyard is engaged in design and construction of vessels of various class and tonnage from 1000-tonne fishing vessels to large tankers of the third class, from conventional dry cargo vessels and oil tankers to 10,000TEU container ships and large СNG carriers.
