Russia to produce its own fishfinder
Under the programme of import substitution, Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce has conducted a tender for development of a “technological complex for remote monitoring of hydrobionts for fishing vessels”.
The government’s single information system for purchases says that three companies took part in the competition with St-Petersburg-based firm “Aviation and Marine Electronics”, an established producer for the Navy and Air Force, emerging as the winner. The awarded contract is worth RUR 179 million (ca. USD 3 million)
Within 2018-2020 the concern will have to make prototypes, design documentation, software and user guide for fishermen.
The “Aviation and Marine Electronics” Company operates in the field of control systems as well as communication, radio electronic, radio technical and hydro acoustic equipment. Hardware for information and telecommunication networks is also in focus.
