Russia steps into genetic editing for aquaculture

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev approved the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Genetic Technologies until 2027 concerning aquaculture among other sectors.

Experts hope that the program will create scientific and technological reserves for medicine, agriculture and industry and the technology of genetic editing will help develop plants and animals, including seafood, which are in strong demand now.
