Newbuilding supertrawler left Turkish yard to head for Kamchatka
The new generation fishing vessel Vladimir Biryukov, built at the Tersane shipyard (Turkey) for the Okeanrybflot group of companies, is heading for her port of registry of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to VARPE.
The Russian flag on the supertrawler was raised on October 8, 2022. Vladimir Biryukov together with Georgy Meshcheryakov, previously transferred to Okeanrybflot, are able to replace five large autonomous freezer-type trawlers (BMT) of project 1288 of the Pulkovo Meridian type.
Characteristics of the vessel Vladimir Biryukov: length ‒ 108 m; width ‒ 20 m; working speed ‒ 16 nautical miles; capacity ‒ 150 people. The supertrawler is equipped with 12 lines for processing 450 tons of fish per day, freezing and refrigerating holds with a capacity of 4770 cubic meters.
