The first batches of fish products have been received for processing at the plant built by Rusak LLC under the Kamchatka TOR regime (Territory of Advanced Development). The company operates in the village of Ivashka, Karaginsky District, reports Megafishnet.com.

The construction of the plant started in 2017 under the above preferential regime. The launch of production has made it possible to create 191 new jobs. It is planned that the volume of tax and other payments to the budget and extra-budgetary funds will amount to more than 370 million rubles by 2029.

The daily capacity of the new plant amounts to 95 tons. It was recently certified according to the standard of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and received the MSC chain of custody certificate on June 3, 2021. Obtaining the MSC certificate will allow the company to successfully sell fish products produced at the plant, not only in the domestic but also in the foreign markets.

The plant, launched in June, is a major investment project worth over 600 million rubles. In recent years, companies from the east of Kamchatka, including Rusak LLC, have been actively investing in the construction of modern fish processing plants on the eastern coast of the peninsula. The total accumulated investments in the industry since 2008 have exceeded 70 billion rubles (ca.$ 1billion).

Thanks to the measures of state support, since 2008, 30 modern factories have been built and modernized on the coasts of the peninsula, more than 5,300 additional jobs have been created, 24 fishing vessels have been built, purchased and modernized.
