New digital service for seafood exporters launched on Russia’s Public Services portal
Russia’s Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo), the Center for the Monitoring System of Fisheries and Communications, together with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, brought a new service to the nation’s Public Services portal — for the approval of certificates for capture of aquatic biological resources and fish products from them meant for export to the European Union.
According to Rosrybolovstvo, the agency independently brought the service to the portal using a visual service designer developed by the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
To obtain a certificate, an exporter must fill in information about exported products on the Public Services portal, specifying data about the ship and the captain, exported products and the exporting organization, accompanied by electronic samples of documents. After that, it is necessary to make an appointment for a face-to-face meeting with the Federal Agency for Fisheries to obtain a certificate on paper for presentation in the EU countries.
The provision of services through the portal of Public Services will significantly reduce the time for obtaining documents. While earlier the process took up to 14 working days, now the service delivery period will be reduced to 5 working days.
