Negotiations between the Rosselkhoznadzor and Shovgi Mehtizade, Adviser for Trade Affairs of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow

The negotiations in the teleconference format took place on April, 28 at the initiative of the Russian party. The Rosselkhoznadzor reported that according to the earlier reached agreements, the official request has been sent to Azerbaijan in early April to provide information about the main greenhouse facilities, amounts and types of plant products grown in Azerbaijan and exported to Russia, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor.

Shovgi Mehtizade notified the Rosselkhoznadzor that the National Plant Quarantine Service of Azerbaijan is interested in closer cooperation with the Russian authorities and all the requested documents are being prepared. The representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow also emphasized that he will facilitate the submission of the required information to the Rosselkhoznadzor.

The parties agreed that more detailed discussion of cooperation between competent authorities of Russia and Azerbaijan is necessary in the field of phytosanitary surveillance and safety control of the exported quarantineable products during the preparation for the regular meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which will take place in July 2016.
