Icelandic fish catches in November 2010
Total catch of Icelandic vessels in November 2010 was 83,811 tonnes compared to 85,698 tonnes in November 2009, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Statistics Iceland.
Demersal species accounted for 38 thousand tonnes, thereof cod 17 thousand tonnes, haddock 6 thousand tonnes, saithe 4 thousand tonnes and redfish 5 thousand tonnes. The pelagic catch was 44 thousand tonnes, nearly all hearing.
At constant prices the volume of the catch decreased by 0.5% in November 2010 compared with November 2009.
