GFC shares officially listed on Hanoi Stock Exchange
On April 24, 2011, Gentraco Feed Joint Stock Company (Gentraco Feed) listed officially its 8 million of GFC shares on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX). Gentraco Feed was initially an affiliate providing raw material for feed mill, under the Gentraco Joint Stock Company. It was created in December 2007 and then worked as feed supplier for livestock and aquaculture. The main partners of Gentraco Feed were big animal feed processors in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in South-Eastern region and Mekong Delta. The company owns now VND80.8 billion of charter capital.
The main operation of Gentraco Feed is to provide raw material for feed processing, which generates an important part of its turnover and profit over these years.
Aquaculture was another key operation. As a longtime raw materials supplier based in Mekong Delta - a potential area to development aquaculture operation, especially pangasius farming, Gentraco Feed soon became one of the major raw pangasius suppliers in Can Tho. The company provides an important volume of high quality raw pangasius raised in its integrated farm assuring required standards.
In addition, Gentraco Feed produces feed and offers services related to aquaculture, including fish disease tests, physical and chemical testing of pond water samples and tests for bacteria density in pond water, trading of veterinary drugs used in aquaculture....
Moreover, Gentraco Feed has cooperation with partners to penetrate new sectors such as import - export, real estate, transportation.
The company's sales maintain positive growth during these years thank to its effective business strategy, integrated management system in compliance with ISO 9001 : 2008 and Global GAP standards, nationwide trading network development plan. In fact, its net sales in 2010 reached VND1,079 billion, up 13 percent against 2009 and net profit was VND6.1 billion.
In 2011, Gentraco Feed expects to raise its net sales to VND1,500 billion, net profit to VND26 billion.
