Full-cycle farm for valuable fish species opened in Ukraine

Valuable fish species farm in the town of Berdyansk in Zaporozh'e region of the Ukraine has become the only aquaculture operation in the country with a complete breeding cycle from hatchery to release of juveniles to the sea, reports http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

Recently, the farm has been certified by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy for reproduction, growth and release of three valuable fish species, namely, sturgeon, European carp and zander. Before that, Ukrainian farms have been operating only for commercial purposes.

According to the local authorities, they are looking into a possible assistance for this young and potentially successful farm.
