Frozen fish market situation in Murmansk as per 2 October 2007
A shortage of small-sized herring has emerged on frozen fish market, market players based in Murmansk told http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).
The demand for this category has increased dramatically.
The majority of Norwegian catches is made up of herring 300 and herring 350+.
In this context traders foresee a forthcoming increase of prices of herring 200 - 300 of Russian origin.
Prices of blue whiting have stabilized on the level of RUR 21.00 - 22.00 per kilo.
