Frozen fish market situation in Murmansk as per 2 December 2008
As per 2 December 2008 the fresh frozen fish market situation has been marked by a number of changes, market players based in Murmansk told http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).
Generally the prices have not changed much since last week. The prices of herring have been stable while the price of blue whiting has increased to some extent.
The polar cod (Boreogadus saida) of the new season has been offered as before at a price RUB14.50 per kilo.
The price of Russian capelin of the new season was set at the level of RUB35.00 - 35.50 per kilo. While the capelin is small-sized it has still been in demand on the market.
The prices of sea cat have stayed at the same level. The prices of cod and haddock have been going down. There has been a certain shortage of saithe on the market that is why the price of this species has grown.
