Fishing was very slow for several days after Easter, but has been gradually improving and the blue whiting now appear to be migrating increasingly towards the Faroese EEZ. In a period where new contracts are not that frequent, Skipsteknisk (naval architects based in Aalesund, Norway) has signed a contract for complete design of an ice-going fishery research vessel for the Federal Agency of Fisheries in Russia.
