Free-trade negotiations with Russia to start in early 2011

Negotiations on a free-trade agreement between Russia and Iceland are to be initiated early in the New Year, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Iceland Seafood International. 

This was announced earlier in the week by Ossur Skarphedinsson, Iceland´s Minister of Foreign Affairs, at a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland.  The occasion was a meeting in Geneva of the foreign ministers of the EFTA countries.
