Successful seafood show in Brussels
The world's largest seafood exhibition, an annual event held in Brussels, closes today. Around thirty Icelandic companies took part this time, among them HB Grandi. According to Svavar Svavarsson, the company's marketing director, this event has proved its worth time and again - and this year is no exception, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to HB Grandi.
‘Attendance at HB Grandi's stand has been excellent throughout and we are very satisfied with the results and the high level of interest that seafood buyers from all over the world have shown in our products,' he said.
This is HB Grandi's eighth time at Brussels and the company has made a welcome habit of offering visitors and passers-by the opportunity to try out exciting seafood dishes prepared from the company's own products, either from its factories ashore or from its freezer trawlers. Chef Gunnar H Ólafsson, who sails as cook on trawler Sturlaugur Bödvarsson AK, has been hard at work throughout the exhibition preparing snacks and dishes from cod, redfish, saithe, capelin, mackerel and other species for the company stand's visitors, all of which have been exceptionally well received.
