Directive No.FS-VN-2/3959 dated 28 April 2007 of Rosselkhoznadzor (UPDATED!)
According to Rosselkhoznadzor's letter No.FS-VN-2/3959 dated 28 April 2007, in the course of monitoring checks of imported animal products from 23 to 30 March 2007 laboratory examinations of food safety (microbiological and organoleptic indices) produced primary positive results as follows:

Note: the table contains selected seafood related items excluding chicken and cheese.
In view of the aforesaid, it is ordered that the territorial departments of Rosselkhoznadzor should secure sampling from every incoming product consignment from the above mentioned companies at check points across the State border of the Russian Federation and at points of complete customs clearance, as well as in cooperation with veterinary authorities of the provinces of the Russian Federation they should check presence of products from the above producers at the regional establishments (cold stores, etc.) under the veterinary surveillance.
On discovering products earlier imported from the above mentioned producers the territorial departments should be guided by Rosselkhoznadzor's directive No.FS-SD-2/3536 (Articles 4-6) dated 18 April 2007.

In pursuance of the directive No.FS-VN-2/3959 dated 28 April 2007 of the Federal veterinary and phytosanitary service Rosselkhoznadzor it is ordered to conduct by 8 May 2007 checks at the district's establishments for products and raw fish listed in the above mentioned directive.
On discovering the given products they should be seized and put in isolated storage.
It is ordered to report the checks' results in the form of memorandums to the OB department on 8 May 2007 as the latest.
