Directive No. FS-GK-4/7857 dated 7 August 2008 of Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor informs that the inspection of the Faroese fishing companies interested in export of their products to the Russian Federation, which has been conducted by specialists of Rosselkhoznadzor, has disclosed a number of violations of the Russian veterinary requirements, according to an official release received by http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

In connection with the above, as of 1 September 2008 Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced restrictions for seafood import from the fish processing plants of the Faerose Islands. Import of seafood products shipped from those plants to the Russian Federation is not allowed as of 1 September 2008.
