Vladivostok Fish Port boosting revenue
Last year was a serious test of strength, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which severely hit the domestic economy. However, despite the adjustments in the work, in 2021, Vladivostok Fish Port (Vladmorrybport) managed to significantly increase its revenue, reports Megafishnet.com.
According to the organization, in the first 5 months the revenue increased by 10% compared to the same period in 2020.
In particular, the container turnover grew by 17 % compared to 2020, thanks to the modernization of the transshipment complexes. JSC "Vladmorrybport" has signed contracts for the purchase of 2 units of SANY reach stackers with a lifting capacity of 45 tons and 3 units of Kalmar T2 terminal tractors.
The new equipment’s technical characteristics make it possible to perform intensive maneuvering in a limited space. To provide a full range of container handling services, along with the container terminal of the port, dry logistics complexes are used, namely the "Pacific Intermodal Container" and "Fresh Terminal", with a refrigeration capacity of 2400 TEU.
The movement of container cargo is carried out by "Terminal Auto-VMRP" LLC, a resident of the Free Port Vladivostok zone.
JSC "Vladmorrybport" is a leader in the transshipment of fish products in the country. According to the results of the first half of the year, the cargo turnover for the transshipment of fish products amounted to 243 thousand tons of fish, including in containers. This is an absolute record for this period in the entire history of the company's activities. This figure also indicates that Vladmorrybport is the main "fish gate" of the country. In 2021, the one-time storage of fish at the port terminal reached 47 thousand metric tons.
