The governor of Primorsky Krai praised the progress in the construction of the Russian pollock plant in a pandemic period

The Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako visited the site of the Russian Pollock fish processing plant, which the Russian Fishery Company (RFC) is building on the territory of the “Nadezhdinskaya” priority development area (Primorsky Krai). The commissioning of the plant is scheduled for September 1 of this year.

The governor appreciated the high readiness of the facility, positively noting the measures taken by the Company to maintain the pace of construction in difficult conditions of a general decrease in economic activity due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"For residents of the Nadezhdinskiy district and the nearest settlements, this is an opportunity to get decent work. The project provides for deep processing, it is implemented under investment quotas. The work is on schedule, the processing equipment will be installed by the Fisherman's Day," the governor said. “Such facilities will shape the future economic potential of the region and, in general, of the Primorsky Krai, because they are focused on the deep processing in the region.”

At the construction site, where about 120 people are involved, all necessary measures are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“Construction is in its final stages,” commented Mikhail Degtyarenko, Russian Pollock CEO. - Installation of equipment will begin in June. Commissioning is scheduled for July. In September, we expect to begin production. ”

The equipment from leading world manufacturers, which will be installed at the plant, will allow producing up to 155 tons of finished products per day, mainly block and piece frozen Pollock fillets, as well as mince, steaks and more. At least 20 tons of fish oil and fishmeal per day will be produced from the main production waste.

With the commissioning of the plant, 130-150 jobs will be created this year, and with the launch of the enterprise in two-shift work, about 350 jobs.

Over the first 10 years of operation, it is expected that over 7 billion rubles will go to the budgets of all levels and extra-budgetary funds from the enterprise.
