Russian Fishery Company keeps rights to MSC label
On December 30, 2020, the companies belonging to the Russian Fishery Company Group were restored to the list of entities eligible for MSC certificate, reports Megafishnet.com.
This is confirmed by the information on MSC.org site where the respective businesses and their vessels are listed as per 30th December 2020 among Pollock Catchers Association (PCA) client group of companies and vessels eligible for MSC certificate on mid-water trawl pollock fishery in the Sea of Okhotsk.
The rights were restored after the Arbitration Court of Primorsky Krai province (Capital Vladivostok) has granted in full the claim of the Russian Fishery Company to invalidate the decision of the Pollock Catchers Association to exclude the companies of the Group from the PCA.
The development means that the formerly excluded companies are again full members of the PCA and, inter alia, retain the right to fully use the MSC group certificate for the supply of products to European and other markets.
The companies belonging to the Russian Fishery Company Group eligible for MSC certificate as per December 30, 2020 are listed in the Table below.
